16 Days Campaign on Gender Voilence

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is an international campaign originating from the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute sponsored by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership in 1991. Participants chose the dates, November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women and December 10, International Human Rights Day, in order to symbolically link violence against women and human rights and to emphasize that such violence is a violation of human rights.

In order to mark these 16 days WEPCO is also going to lunch series of program that are related to Gender Violence. On the date of 25th November WEPCO is organizing a Rally program at Lubhoo V.D.C lalitpur. On 2nd December Public hearing Program will be held on the Jharuwa Rashi village of Lalitpur district and Finally on the date of 9 December, Workshop will be held in order to discuss about the condition of Women,its persistent problem and effective way to minimize them. In between all these big events Drama on Gender violence will be showed to the participant by the Eco Club Students of Nagarjuna Academy(Kopundole)
